Melinda's Bio:

Melinda Davis is a singer/songwriter based in Jersey City, New Jersey. She has been writing and performing music for over 15 years and has had an integral part in developing Big Plush’s personalized song network of independant recording artists and musicians.  Melinda was a runner-up in the 2008  Singer/Songwriter awards. She often performs locally, playing guitar and singing her original songs about love and life.  


In her own words:

Taking on the challenge of writing personalized songs was an exciting experience. I really love writing songs that emotionally connect with the listener. What better way to connect with a listener than to write and sing a song that’s recorded just for them! It’s really satisfying to think of the recipients hearing their song for the first time.  I like all genres of music and working on the personalized songs has allowed me to write in many different styles and has made me grow as a songwriter.  Thanks to Big Plush for allowing me to have the opportunity to share my love of music with others!

ABOUT THE ARTIST:   Rich Kubicz has been writing and performing music for over thirty years.  His debut CD of original music “Echo Lake” was released in 2005.  Rich’s latest project is fronting the Tom Petty Tribute Band Damn The Torpedoes.  Rich is very active in the musical community in Northern New Jersey as a personality on Union TV34’s After Dark music series, the principle producer for the annual homeless charity concert Blank-Fest New Jersey and a “Roadie” for Bruce Tangowski’s Salem Roadhouse Café. 

Rich is very excited to have the opportunity to work with Big Plush to help allow his music to warm someone’s heart.   ABOUT THE PERSONALIZED SONG AVAILABLE AT BIGPLUSH.COM:  “Did I Tell You That I Love You Today” it was originally written by Rich in 1995, a few months before his wedding to the love of his life Adrienne.  The song was basically the answer to a vow that Rich had made to be sure to tell her that he loves her EVERYDAY.  According to Rich, "I was sometimes forgetful, so I would always ask her if I had kept my vow before we went to sleep at night."  The title came from that situation and the rest is history.  Rich adds, "I hope you can make this song connect with your loved one like I had done on our wedding day when I sang this to her for the first time."
